General Scope of Project
In 2010, n|e|m|d architects, inc. designed the renovations to the Center for Reproduction and Infertility at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, one of the nation’s most successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs. For this project, n|e|m|d converted a vacant 40,000 SF building into a facility that includes a state-of-the-art embryology laboratory, patient education center, and patient exam/treatment rooms. The intimate waiting rooms, soothing finish colors, and comfortable furniture designed and/or selected by n|e|m|d provide couples struggling with infertility with a welcoming, homey environment.
