General Scope of Project
North Shore Community College is a growing educational institution in Northeast Massachusetts with campuses in Lynn, Danvers, and Beverly. Together with Higher Education Partners, an educational investment company, and D.F.Pray, design build contractors, they commissioned n|e|m|d architects, inc. to renovate a former bank and a century-old department store in downtown Lynn to create new classrooms, administrative offices, and student support centers. In order to better achieve the programming needs of the college, n|e|m|d connected the two buildings at street level, creating a spacious student lobby.
