General Scope of Project
NEMD Architects was commissioned to design the core and shell of their new 30,000 square foot South County Medical and Wellness Center.

The building is occupied by various primary and specialty care centers of the South County Health Group and brings new healthcare opportunities to the Southern Rhode Island community. To create the design for this building, NEMD utilized our Revit modeling / rendering capabilities to their fullest, generating highly-detailed images of multiple versions of the building’s exterior. This allowed the client to clearly visualize the facility from many different angles and simplified the selection of key design elements.

As a focal point for the final design for the Medical & Wellness Center, NEMD created a two-story glass lobby and atrium space that invites visitors into the facility and clearly defines their path once they are inside. This space is in keeping with the overall design of the building, which focuses on creating bright, cheerful spaces.  This is achieved through the use of extensive glazing that increases natural interior light and promotes the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff alike.
