General Scope of Project
STRATUS (Simulation, Training, Resuscitation, and Technology Utilization System) is located within the Department of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Neville House.  n|e|m|d architects, inc. designed this new health science facility and outfitted it with state-of-the-art equipment, computer software, and technology that provides real-to-life simulation of a variety of medical emergencies and critical care scenarios, such as emergency conditions, bioterrorism, chemical terrorism, and trauma, giving participants hands-on experience without compromising the safety of any actual patients.

n|e|m|d maximized the use of space and materials in the STRATUS facility through the incorporation of innovative architectural details such as built-in white boards, two-way mirrors, concealed wiring, and hidden electronic controls.
